The role of Lawyer
The term lawyers refer as a legal service provider there legal professions consist of law trained person they are known as jurists, some are advocates who have licensed to practice in court. Each country has its own method of dividing legal work in between their legal professionals. Lawyers act as advisors and advocates in our society. Advisors, lawyers suggest particular course of action in business and personal matter and counsel their client about their legal rights. Advocates support their client by presenting evidence and arguing in court.
Duties of lawyers
Lawyer has many general responsibilities. To make aware the legal proceeding and all the aspects of case lawyer meets with client before and during legal proceedings.
The lawyer must maintain his profession by carrying clients contact. He always represent his client so it is important that he report all the process and necessary information to their client to keep them well informed. Another duty of lawyer is to represent in court for legal proceeding. The lawyer must attend the court on behalf of the client whether he is involved with civil or criminal litigation. It is duty of lawyer to speak on behalf of his client and advice the client how to proceed.
The role of lawyer is not easy to appear in court and argue on behalf of client. There are other many works for him like prepare a case or legal matter, draft legal documents these legal document can be draft by there secretaries, still many lawyers do it by themselves.
Legal secretaries can help lawyers but whenever possible lawyers should try to do as much they can themselves and they should review all the documents before they leave the office. There are the duties which lawyer must perform by themselves like negotiating with opposing parties, researching on the case. There are many different forms of research like pertinent documentation, status, rules, evidence and more. Large time of lawyer is spent on research and reviewing on case.
