There is difference between barrister and solicitor. For legal purpose solicitors can act in place of client means you can say that solicitors are an attorney. In case of barristers they are not attorney. Barrister can speak in court on behalf of clients when it’s instructed by the solicitor. To become a queen’s counsel very experienced barristers can apply and then they can be a high court judge or Court of Session. Some may move in to commerce or industry or may enter other senior position.
